Not even my novice sewing skills are keeping me from wanting to try this! While I'm not ready for a whole messenger bag like the folks at Makezine.com, I have wanted to make some reusable bags for produce; and this seems like a viable and funky alternative.

What a great idea! I've been trying to keep all the library canvas bags that I've gotten at conferences over the years, in the van, for when I stop at the store. I've been doing it for a while, and really love to carry my groceries in them. They're so sturdy! But, I still have an abundance of plastic bags. I like this idea a lot. I might give it a try sometime.
